The Singing Lady Emporium
Located at 781 The Queensway. It is so fun to browse. The inventory turns pretty quickly so there is always lots of great things. It’s also a great spot to sell those pieces that are in good shape but you no longer want or need. Sell what you don’t want & pick up something new. How great is that!
Bua Thai Restaurant
Located at 743 The Queensway. Great food, informal atmosphere, decent prices. My absolute favourite is the Thai Salad.
Mike’s Fish Market
Located at 56 Vansco Rd. Mikes is the retail arm for Allsea’s Fisheries. Great fresh assortment of pretty much any kind of fish.
Dimpflmeier Bakery
Located at 2 Advance Rd. Cozy cafe, great german bakery with lost of variety and decent prices. Best rye bread on the planet.
The Queensway Park
The ice at this rink is actually artificial so it survives the warm spells in the winter and is maintained by the city. Kids in the neighbourhood walk to this local arena. Fun for the whole family.
The Humber Trail
One of my absolute favourite things to do is to take my dogs for a stroll along the Humber Trail. The trail runs forever. Your legs will tire well before you tire of the view.
Our Schools
The many neighbourhood quality schools that are in walking distance in The Queensway have made it a very attractive choice for young families. The Queensway is home to Holy Angels Catholic School, and The Etobicoke School of the Arts.
The People
The people of The Queensway are diverse. Some have been in the neighbourhood for decades and represent the the vibrant history, and some are new to the area, and just establishing roots. They all share one thing in common, and that is they are proud to be part of the community.
The Butcher Shoppe
Located at 121 Shorncliffe Rd it is primarily a wholesaler providing high quality meats to hotels, top restaurants and resorts. The best kept secret is the it also sells to consumers through a side unmarked entrance. Definitely you need to be a local to know about this. Shhh don’t tell anyone.
