1. King’s Mill Park

This beautiful park is one of a chain of parks leading along the Humber River, and is great for walking, biking, and birdwatching. Since it’s part of the Humber River, Old Mill and Marshes Discovery Walk, once you’re done in the off-leash area, you can simply keep on going for a scenic walk along the river.

2. Sir Casimir Gzowski Park

This park is part of the western section of Sunnyside Park and is right by the lake. Named in honour of a pioneer engineer, Casimir Gzowski, the park houses a monument displaying his history. Aside from a dog off-leash area, there tons of other facilities including specialized outdoor fitness equipment, a playground, and plenty of bike trails for all of you cyclists.

3. Beresford Park

This is just a small park, but perfect if you’re in the area. There’s a designated off-leash area, as well as a playground and wading pool for the kids.

4. Colonel Sam Smith Park

If you’re a dog owner, chances are you’re an all-round wildlife lover, and if so, this is the perfect spot for you. Colonel Sam Smith Park is a Designated Toronto Bird Sanctuary and is also known as a good place for fishing. What’s more, if you get there early enough, it’s an incredible spot to catch a stunning sunrise. As well as the dog off-leash area, there’s a picnic shelter and a playground, and of course there’s a skating trail during the winter.

5. Marie Curtis Park

This lakeside park is a great location for a day out, especially during the summer time. Aside from the dog off-leash area, there’s a beach, picnic site, playground, splash pad, and wading pool. Once you’re done in the off-leash area, you can continue on the walking trail which connects to the Waterfront Trail. This is also another popular spot for fishing and bird- spotting.

6. Humber Bay Park West

This narrow park juts out into the lake, so there are plenty of scenic views to take in and you might even see some water fowl and shorebirds. In addition to the off-leash area, this park has six bike trails to explore, and is another great place to watch the sunrise.

7. Don Russell Memorial Park

Don Russell Memorial Park is another neat little park with lots happening. Aside from the off-leash area, there’s a playground, baseball diamond, running track, and more.

8. High Park

You’re no doubt already familiar with the beautiful and vast High Park that has lots to offer all year round. But if you’re a new dog owner, you might not know about the huge off-leash area in the middle of the park. This is a particularly good spot if you and your dog like to climb a few hills and ramble on terrain that’s a bit rougher than you’re typical off-leash area. While you’re at it, you can check out the other fun things High Park has to offer including a zoo, a huge children’s playground, and of course all sorts of wildlife throughout the year.

9. Etobicoke Valley Park

This lush park is another great spot for nature-lovers among you. With stunning foliage and a full scope of wildlife, you can take in the sights and sounds of nature while your dog plays happily.

10. Garnetwood Park

Although this is technically in Mississauga, Garnetwood Park is super close to be counted with the dog parks in Etobicoke, and definitely worth a visit. This scenic park boasts walking trails dotted with evergreens and is fully lit well into the evening. As well as the off-leash zone, there are tennis courts, a baseball diamond, and a playground.
