All their pizzas are cooked in their wood-burning oven that’s not just an ordinary oven but one that was hand built for them in Naples. This oven cooks your pizza at 900 degrees for only 90 seconds. 850 Degrees is a local pizzeria in the Long Branch neighbourhood in south Etobicoke that uses  only the very best ingredients; locally sourced and Canadian, whenever possible. Their pizza is made from a slow-rising dough and is baked in a stone-fired oven at about 850°F. Especially relevant at this pizza joint is that it’s well suited for big groups up to 35 and they can accommodate most budgets.

First of all, Romi’s legendary pizzeria is located in the heart of The Kingsway. They pride themselves on excellent service, whether you’re a first time guest or one of their regulars. Another excellent pizza spot on our list is Dino’s Wood Burning Pizza. It’s that modest gem that’s been a long time favourite in The Queensway neighbourhood for years. Dino’s pizza is favourite of locals and celebrities alike, featuring a thin crust and cooked in a wood-burning oven. Dino’s also serves traditional Turkish pides (similar to a calzone), wings & salads (we love the Caesar!). There is a small patio outside during warmer months.

6. The Cellar Door

If you want to experience tasty pizza in combination with other authentic Italian dishes, The Cellar Door in New Toronto is a great choice! Most noteworthy is that your food is prepared by the reputable chef Robert Rubino. He delivers a combination of unique ideas, respect for classic dishes and a love of high quality ingredients. Robert says that he wants to create approachable food that is still of high quality in a family-style atmosphere that retains it’s professionalism. For him, good Italian food is created when traditions are respected but an effort is made to put his own personal stamp on the food. The Cellar Door is also an excellent spot to hold private functions.

7. Mamma Martinos

A great option for your next family night out is Mamma Martinos. They have been a fixture at their present location in The Queensway neighbourhood for over 25 years. Bruno Martino, along with with his Mamma and Pappa opened the doors in 1983 and began welcoming Toronto area residents and visitors alike to enjoy authentic Italian dining at moderate prices.

In addition, you might want to consider Mamma Martinos for an affordable date night. With most entrees on the menu less than $15 you don’t have to worry about what your date orders!

8. Rocco’s Plum Tomato

Location: 164 The Queensway, Etobicoke, ON M8Y 1J2

Another oldeie but goldie in The Queensway neighbourhood is Rocco’s Plum Tomato. They have been serving customers since early 1990s and Chef Rocco sources and buys all the produce, fish and meat himself. From seafood, to pasta to some of Etobicoke’s best pizza, there is something for everyone at Rocco’s Plum Tomato.

9. Milano’s Pizza

Milano’s Pizza has been serving the Etobicoke community for over 45 years. Located near Bloor St W and Kipling Avenue in the Islington City-Centre neighbourhood. Milano’s offers many tried and true favourite including the Milano’s Special Deluxe Pizza and The Big Greek Pizza as well as the ability to create your own pizza. A good selection of salads and sides can also be found on their menu.

10. Il Paesano Pizzeria and Restaurant

Finally last but not least, is an iconic pizza joint in Alderwood.
