Then you might think the perfect Saturday involves heading to a flea market and browsing all of its weird and wonderful offerings. If that sounds like you, then you’re going to love this list. We’ve put together a rundown of the top ten flea markets near Etobicoke. There are a couple in Etobicoke and many others not too far away. Let’s get cracking!
1. Downsview Park Merchant’s Market

Whether you want to shop for food, clothes, home furnishings, or antiques, this market has it all. Boasting a 10,000 sq. ft. farmers’ market, over 500 vendors, and an international ‘chain-free’ food court, you could spend the whole day here and still not see it all. There’s even a kid zone to keep the little ones entertained!
2. Dr Flea’s Flea Market

Dr Flea’s is an Etobicoke mainstay having been around for 30 years. Founded by “Dr Flea” in the 80’s, this market provides a fun day out, even having its own radio show running contests and giveaways throughout the weekend. With everything from children’s clothes to housewares, there is no shortage of bargains to be found. There’s a farmers’ market selling local produce and a food court with plenty of choices. There’s also an outdoor second hand and collectibles market during the warmer months.
3. Fantastic Flea Market Dixie Outlet Mall

Where: Dixie Outlet Mall, 1250 S Service Rd, Mississauga, ON L5E 1V4
Founded in 1976, the Fantastic Flea Market in the lower level of Dixie Outlet Mall is the longest running flea market in the GTA. The bustling atmosphere of this market provides a unique experience and you’ll be quick to get to know the vendors, some of whom have set up there for many years. Although it’s not a huge market, there are plenty of bargains to be found, and some giveaways too!
4. Dixie 401 Flea Market

Where: 5150 Dixie Rd, Mississauga, ON L5W 1E1
This market has been around for a while but is under new management so it’s worth checking out what has changed. Whether you’re shopping for accessories or want to grab some well-priced produce, you can find it all under one roof!
5. 747 Flea Market

Where: 95 Parkhurst Square, Brampton, ON L6T 5H5
If you’re around the Brampton area, 747 Flea Market is definitely worth a look. It has a huge selection of vendors offering everything from electronics to automotive accessories and services. There’s also a great range of international foods to eat in or take home, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables, and spices from all over the world. If you’re looking to sell some stuff of your own, this market offers single weekend outdoor wagon rentals so you can run your own garage sale and be guaranteed a ton of visitors.
6. Toronto Weston Flea Market

There is literally an endless list of wonders to be found at this large indoor market, including everything from home décor and collectibles to clothing and jewelry. There’s also plenty of delicious food on offer including fresh produce. There’s even a hair salon, legal services, and a tattoo artist; it’s literally a one-stop shop!
7. Mississauga Flea Market

Where: 3092 Mavis Rd, Mississauga, ON L5C 1T8
This markets boasts over 350 vendors bringing you clothes, gifts, music, jewelry, and tons more. There’s also a sizable farmers’ market offering fresh local produce and a food court with everything from Japanese cuisine to hotdogs and doughnuts.
8. The Leslieville Flea

When: Monthly Sundays, starting June 11th, 10am – 5pm
Where: Ashbridge Estate, 1444 Queen St E, Toronto, ON M4L 1E1
Although this market only runs monthly, it’s worth the wait, as it’s quite a bit different to your average flea market. The founders have carefully curated a selection of vendors offering vintage, salvaged, and up-cycled goods, as well as antiques, collectibles, and crafts. Aside from the monthly dates at Ashbridge Estate, the market will also be heading to the Historic Distillery District for a few popup dates. Just check the website for details.
9. Merchants’ Flea Market

Where: 1921 Eglinton Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1L 2L6
Also in the east end is the Merchants’ Flea Market with a huge selection of great bargains. This is another old market having been around since 1988, and with over 250 booths, it’s still going strong. Shop clothes, toys, electronics, and more, before sampling some of the wonderful international food offerings.
10. Pickering Markets

Although it’s a little further afield, if you don’t mind the drive, Pickering Markets are definitely worth a look. This exclusive marketplace was created over 40 years ago but has greatly evolved over the years. This market places a huge focus on helping small local businesses thrive by offering an affordable space and professional promotion, even creating a look book showcasing its fashion vendors. In this, the largest marketplace in the GTA, customers can enjoy selections from over 500 vendors, including footwear, jewelry, art, and tons more.
