That said, let’s go over 10 fun things to do in Etobicoke in October. Let’s get started!

1. Shades of Old Islington: Graveyard & Tavern Tour

Where: Montgomery’s Inn, 4709 Dundas St W, Etobicoke, ON M9A 1A8

This Halloween, you can enjoy a tour of Montgomery’s Inn with a scary twist. Enjoy spooky refreshments and hear chilling stories while touring the inn and Pioneer Cemetery by candlelight.

2. An Open Rehearsal at Etobicoke Collegiate Institute

Ever wondered what would be like to play in a band? Well, if you want that idea to become a reality, you can head over to the open rehearsal at Etobicoke Collegiate Institute for a chance to join Etobicoke Community Concert Band. Bring your instrument and help them prepare for an upcoming season.

3. Oktoberfest Party at Islington Seniors Centre

Cost: $15.50

What better way to round out the month of October than with an Oktoberfest?! There’ll be dinner and entertainment, as well as a 50/50 raffle and gift basket raffle.

4. Flaming Star Elvis Festival

Are you a fan of Elivis Presley and his music? If you are, then you should definitely visit the Flaming Star Elvis Festival which is celebrating its fifth anniversary. This festival will be taking place at Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport Hotel and will feature around 30 Elvis Tribute Artists.

5. ESS Annual Dine for Dignity Fundraising Gala

7. Kids Halloween Crafts at Brentwood Library

Aside from trick-or-treating, making Halloween crafts is something that children thoroughly enjoy at this time of the year. But on top of being a fun activity, crafting represents a pretty unique way to spark their creativity. Treat your kids and yourself by taking them to Brentwood Public Library and making fun, and maybe scary, Halloween delights.

8. Humber Valley United Church Ladies Night Out

Any ladies out there looking for a fun outing? Head to Humber Valley United Church and enjoy the spectacular Ladies Night Out. There will be wine and a light dinner, plus a bake sale. A bonus is the silent auction where you can find all sorts of purses, wallets, and belts. There’ll also be a special guest speaker, Tricia Hasenclever, to entertain attendees with her talk, “Learn to Laugh.”

9. Haunted High Park After Dark

Do you love the spooky side of Halloween? Then this could be the perfect event for you. Hear about legends of ghosts at High Park and 19th century funeral traditions, and even experience a séance.

10. Shared Interests at Fellowship Christian Reformed Church

This great initiative sees older adults passing on their wealth of knowledge to high school students. If you are an older adult and you have energy to spare, then you should consider being part of this exciting weekly gathering at Fellowship Christian Reformed Church. Whether you want to chat about playing chess or Scrabble or teach young people to knit, you are bound to have some fun and maybe even learn something yourself.
