1. Lend Me a Tenor by Theatre Etobicoke

When: Thursday – Saturday, October 26th – 28th, 8pm

Where: Theatre Etobicoke, 1 Colonel Samuel Smith Park Dr, Etobicoke, ON M8V 4B6

Cost: $23

Our local theatrical company, Theatre Etobicoke, has another entertaining offering this season. The hilarious comedy, Lend Me a Tenor, involves a tenor performance turned tranquilizer-infused madcap jaunt that will surely have everyone rolling around laughing.

2. Mimico Triangle Halloween Yard Sale

When: Saturday, October 28th, 10am – 5pm

Where: Participating Homes in the Mimico Triangle

This event calls for residents of the Mimico Triangle to declutter their homes while supporting local charity Reach for the Rainbow, which advocates for disabled youth. If you’re not a resident, then you can simply head on over and browse lots of yard sales for some bargain finds.

3. Toronto Field Naturalists Halloween Howl Walk

Where: High Park Nature Centre, 375 Colborne Lodge Dr, Toronto, ON M6R 2Z3

Cost: $10

If you’re looking for a healthier way to celebrate Halloween this year, then nothing beats a walk through the park. Join Toronto Field Naturalists as they head off from High Park Nature Centre on their “Halloween Howl” night hike. Visit creepy nature spots and learn about bats, spiders, and other park creatures and end the evening warming up around a campfire. This event is open to all ages and costumes are encouraged but optional. Tickets are to be purchased ahead of the event.

4. 5th Annual Mimico Family Halloween Dance

When: Friday, October 27th, 6:30pm – 8:30pm

Where: St. Leo’s Catholic School, 165 Stanley Ave, Etobicoke, ON M8V

Cost: $5

Also in Mimico this weekend is a family Halloween dance. Grab your family and friends, don some spooky costumes, and get ready for some dancing fun. There’ll also be face painting, crafts, treats, and more.

5. Costume Contest at Fantasy Fair

When: Saturday – Tuesday, October 28th – 31st

Where: Fantasy Fair, 500 Rexdale Blvd, Etobicoke, ON M9W 6K5

There’s another opportunity for kids to get dressed up this weekend with the costume contest happening at Fantasy Fair. It runs from Saturday until Tuesday and prizes include a seven-night stay in Florida and Fantasy Fair season passes!

6. Shades of Old Islington Montgomery’s Inn

Where: Montgomery’s Inn, 4709 Dundas St W, Etobicoke, ON M9A 1A8

Cost: $20 (includes refreshments)

It’s amazing how some historic sites are simply interesting during the day but can become so very creepy at night. If you love the feeling of being a little spooked, then Shades of Old Islington at Montgomery’s Inn is for you. Explore the inn by candlelight and visit the Islington Pioneer Cemetery while listening to chilling tales of the past.

7. Halloween Crafts for Kids at Brentwood Library

If you fancy something a little less spooky, then why not take the kids along to Brentwood Library for some Halloween crafts. This workshop is open to all kids over the age of two, and it’s drop-in so no registration is required. Get them in their costumes and take them for an hour of spooky craft fun.

8. Annual Bazaar at St. Ambrose Catholic Church

Where: St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 782 Brown’s Line, Etobicoke, ON M8W 3W2

If you’re on the hunt for some treasures, then St. Ambrose Catholic Church’s bazaar could be just the ticket. This annual event runs for two days and you’ll find books, toys, collectibles, and more. There’ll also be a silent auction, tombola tables, and a tea room.

9. Liona Boyd With the Etobicoke Centennial Choir

Cost: $40

Five-time Juno award-winner Liona Boyd will be joining the Etobicoke Centennial Choir this Sunday as part of Canada’s sesquicentennial celebration. Dubbed as “The First Lady of Classical Guitar,” she’ll be performing alongside Andrew Dolson, a singer and guitarist from Waterloo.

10. Haunted Halloween Party at Old Mill
