Thrive has been around since 2014 and is on a mission to provide people with healthy, nutritious meals while on-the-go. It has plenty of gluten-free options as well as vegetarian and vegan items. Serving everything from breakfast to pizza, you can drop in any time and know you’ll get your fill of goodness.
2. The Keg
Where: 25 The West Mall #0600, Etobicoke, ON M9C 1B8
Some people don’t like to see large chain restaurants on a local list, but in fairness to The Keg, it provides a full separate gluten-friendly menu featuring dozens of items. You can enjoy a range of appetizers, steaks, seafood, and more.
3. 850 Degrees Pizza
Where: 3455 Lake Shore Blvd W, Etobicoke, ON M8W 1N2
Who doesn’t love a good pizza now and again? While many of the large-chain pizzerias offer a gluten-free crust, they don’t all measure up. Thankfully, 850 Degrees has perfected theirs; just ask your server for options.
4. Huevos Gourmet
Where: 2888 Lake Shore Blvd W, Toronto, ON M8V 1J2
Huevos Gourmet is an awesome spot for all-day breakfast. And if you need or want to go gluten-free, that’s no reason to miss out. Plenty of their menu items can be adapted to suit your needs. This place is licensed, so you can enjoy a cocktail with your eggs benny or omelet!
5. Olio
Where: 801 Dixon Rd, Etobicoke, ON M9W 1J5
If you’re out near the airport and are looking for a nice spot to dine, Olio (within the Sheraton hotel) offers a chic space and extensive menu. While items aren’t marked, you can simply ask your server for details about what can be adapted.
6. La Veranda Osteria
Where: 946 Royal York Rd, Etobicoke, ON M8X 2E5
La Veranda Osteria is a well-known Italian hotspot at the corner of Royal York and Bloor. Many of their dishes include pasta which is a huge red flag for anyone avoiding gluten. Thankfully, this place offers gluten-free pasta as well as other gluten-free menu items.
7. Pazzia Osteria

Another great Italian restaurant is Pazzia Osteria on The Queensway. Again, menu items aren’t marked, but gluten-free pasts is available on request.

We featured Pastuccis as one of our new local businesses back in November, and it’s proving to be popular with our neighbours. Among the variety of options for a quick and delicious lunch, you can opt for gluten-free pasta including kale gnocchi and spelt fettucine.
