6 Fall Farmers Markets In and Around Etobicoke

Our Etobicoke farmers market post continues to be a big hit with readers. We featured some awesome markets that deliver fresh, local produce all summer long. The problem is, come fall, many of these markets shut down their stalls. So as a compliment to that post, we’ve found some amazing fall farmers markets that will keep you stocked well beyond summer. All of these markets open throughout the fall months, and some all year long. Let’s go!

Where: Etobicoke Civic Centre, 399 The West Mall, Etobicoke, ON M9C 2Y2

This sprawling market has a ton of fresh fruit and vegetables on display. Plus, there’s plenty of other items to choose from, including fresh eggs and local meats, so you can probably buy most, if not all, of your weekly groceries here. If you need a snack while you shop, there are some wonderful options, including the famous apple fritters.

2. Stonegate Farmers’ Market

Where: Christ Church St. James Anglican Church parking lot, 194 Park Lawn Rd, Etobicoke, ON M8Y 3J1

The Stonegate Market is a market with a difference and has a fantastic party atmosphere. There’s live entertainment from local artists and special events dotted throughout the season. Every week, a local community group organizes a BBQ, so you can munch while you shop. As for the market itself, you’ll find some scrumptious local delights, including local, organic produce, bread, honey, meats, cheese, and more.

Where: 2195 Humber Bay Park W Trail, Etobicoke, ON M8V 3X7

This market doesn’t run right the way through until the end of October, but if you can get there at the start of fall, it’s well worth a visit. It has a huge list of vendors, so aside from the usual market fare, you’ve find plenty of more unique options, including Cuban coffee, salsa dips, ice wine, and even knife sharpening services.

4. Sherway Farmers’ Market

When: Fridays from June to October, 8am – 2pm

Where: Church on the Queensway parking lot, 1536 The Queensway, Etobicoke, Ontario, M8Z 1T5

The Sherway Farmers’ Market used to be held every Friday in the Sherway Gardens Mall parking lot. However, it moved last year to the Church on the Queensway parking lot. It still hosts many of the same vendors and you’ll find a great selection of Ontario-grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs, as well as eggs, meat, cheese, honey, baked goods, and more.

5. Montgomery’s Inn Farmers Market

When: Every Wednesday, 2pm – 6pm

Where: Montgomery’s Inn, 4709 Dundas St W, Etobicoke, ON M9A 1A8

Since Montgomery’s Inn was once part of a huge 400-acre farm, it makes sense that they keep with tradition by hosting a weekly farmers market. Here you can find lots of local, often organic produce, as well as baked goods, preserves, cheese, fish, meat, and more. To keep things interesting, there are some pop-up vendors who attend the market just once or twice a month. The market is outdoors during the summer and indoors from early November until spring.

As you can see, there are plenty of options when it comes to fall farmers markets in and around Etobicoke. Happy shopping, from your ThompsonSells team!
