1. Theatre Etobicoke

When: March 1st – 3rd and 9th – 11th, 8pm or 2pm

Where: Theatre Etobicoke, the Assembly Hall, 1 Colonel Samuel Smith Park Dr, Toronto, ON M8V 4B6

Cost: $20 – $23

Theatre Etobicoke is back with another exciting production. With shows running this weekend and next, you can get your giggles in as the cast perform their interpretation of Funny Money. This comedy by Ray Cooney tells the story of switched briefcases and the hilarity that ensues.

2. Great Lakes Beer Taste and Tutor

When: Every other Thursday, March 15th and 29th, 6:30pm – 8pm

Where: Great Lakes Brewery, 30 Queen Elizabeth Blvd, Etobicoke, ON M8Z 1L8

Cost: $25

Do you fancy yourself as a bit of a beer connoisseur? Well, now you can get the certification to prove it. Head over to Great Lakes Brewery every other Tuesday for their Taste and Tutor sessions. You’ll learn all about the ingredients and brewing process, as well as pairing beer and cheeses together. Of course, you’ll have to taste plenty of beer and cheese along you way if you’re to become a true professional.

3. Easter Extravaganza Gift & Craft Show

When: Saturday, March 24th, 10am – 2pm

Where: Bloordale United Church, 4258 Bloor St W, Etobicoke, ON M9C 1Z7

The Easter Extravaganza Sale is back at Bloor United Church. Aside from more than 30 gift and craft vendors, there’ll be mystery door prizes, a kids coloring contest, and a meet and greet with the Easter bunny.

4. St Patrick’s Day Ceilidh at Montgomery’s Inn

When: Saturday, March 17th, 7pm – 10pm

Where: Montgomery’s Inn, 4709 Dundas St W, Etobicoke, ON M9A 1A8

Cost: $5

It’s almost time for St. Patrick’s Day, when the whole world gets to be Irish. Montgomery’s Inn will be celebrating its Irish roots this Paddy’s Day with a good ol’ Irish Ceilidh. Enjoy live traditional music from Gin Lane while filling up on some hearty Irish stew. If that’s not your cup of Irish tea, then you might want to check out Old Mill instead. Fiddle rock show, Fiddlestix, will be performing a high energy set, perfect for getting your jig on!

5. March Break at Black Creek Pioneer Village

Where: Black Creek Pioneer Village, 1000 Murray Ross Pkwy, North York, ON M3J 2P3

Cost: Regular admission but kids 14 and under free

With March Break around the corner, you might be looking for activities to keep the kids occupied. Black Creek Pioneer Village has you covered with a ton of fun activities happening all week long. There are mysteries to solve, maple syrup adventures, and more. The best part is that it’s free for kids under 14! Other than that, there are always lots of fun happenings at our local libraries over March Break. Just check the site for your local branch and discover what’s on offer.

6. Spring Fashion Show at St Demetrius Church Hall

When: Sunday, March 4th, 1pm – 4pm

Where: St Demetrius the Great Martyr Parish, 135 La Rose Ave, Etobicoke, ON M9P 1A6

Cost: $35

The St Demetrius Spring Fashion Show is back with early spring fashions by Zacks. Aside from the show, there’ll be a gourmet lunch with wine, live entertainment, and door prizes.

7. International Cultures Night

Where: Humbervale Park Baptist Church, 763 Royal York Rd, Etobicoke, ON M8Y 2T3

With the wonderfully culturally diverse area we live in, it’s a great idea to celebrate that diversity by coming together. This evening enables you to learn about customs, try new cuisines, and listen to music from across the globe.

8. Seniors Health Fair at Franklin Horner

Where: Franklin Horner Community Centre, 432 Horner Ave, Etobicoke, ON M8W 2B2

Are you or a friend or family member at a bit of a crossroads in life? Seniors have lots of important decisions to make and could often use a little guidance. This fair will be in the form of a trade show to help with those decisions and will also include entertainment, prizes, and refreshments.

9. Sense-ational Family Nature Walk

When: Saturday, March 10th, 1:30pm – 3pm

Where: High Park Nature Centre at the Forest School, 375 Colborne Lodge Dr, Toronto, ON M6R 2Z3

We’re definitely seeing some of that weather that makes us want to get outside and be at one with nature. This family-friendly afternoon walk is ideal for getting the kids out in the fresh air while learning at the same time! Find out how to identify trees and recognize birds during this fun outing.

10. Pop-up Adventure Playground at Downsview Park

Where: Downsview Park Discovery Centre, 70 Canuck Ave North York, ON M3K 2C5

Downsview Park is partnering with Earth Day Canada again this month to bring an awesome popup playground to the Discovery Centre. Kids will have a blast as they navigate make-shift obstacles and tinker with various objects. And who doesn’t love roasting marshmallows on the campfire for a well-deserved treat?
