Say hello to our new series of feature posts! Each month, we’ll be visiting one of the wonderful businesses in Etobicoke and bringing you the lowdown on what they have to offer. This month, we had the pleasure of dining at the awesome Pastucci’s on the Queensway. Offering “Homestyle gourmet pasta with the convenience of fast food,” this place is definitely worth a visit next time your craving some carbs.
There are already so many thriving Etobicoke businesses, but it’s always nice to see new restaurants opening up in the hood. And it’s even more impressive when someone has the guts to try something new. That’s exactly what Pastucci’s has done with their fast-food style pasta restaurant.
We’ll take a look at the story behind the business before sharing our experience as customers.
The Pastucci’s Story

For years, two brothers Pat and Leon dreamed about opening a new-concept restaurant where they would offer home-style gourmet pasta with the convenience of fast food. The brothers wanted to deliver fresh and natural ingredients along with traditional methods of preparation to people on-the-go.
“Great food has always been the centre of Italian family gatherings and culture. PASTUCCI’S is all about sharing those family recipes and traditions with you, our customers.”
With lots of planning, they have now launched, and they held their grand opening event last weekend. They’ve got a great location right across from the Qube condos, and are in close proximity to other condos and homes in the Queensway. It’s a great choice for those wanting to grab a quick meal on their way home from work.
Aside from serving great food, Pastucci’s is also committed to serving the community and donates to SickKids Foundation. It also plans to hold special fundraising events for the charity in the future.
Our Experience
Pastucci’s sleek and shiny website promises “fine dining quality” in a “fast and fresh food environment.” We stopped in for lunch to see if they could really deliver. And, spoiler alert, we were very impressed.
The décor in Pastucci’s isn’t your regular fast-food joint stuff, and they manage to make it cute and welcoming. At the counter, once you’ve selected the portion size you want, you can choose your pasta, sauce, and toppings. With more than 20 pastas and almost a dozen sauces to choose from, you might take a while to decide!
We settled on ravioli with bolognese sauce, made with vine-ripened tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, sautéed onions, roasted garlic, fresh basil, and ground beef. All of the food is home-made with fresh ingredients, and what we tried was very delicious!
Throughout our visit the staff were extremely friendly and you could tell they were very excited about being part of this launch.
