1. Coldest Night of the Year Walk

Where: Fellowship Hall, 1536 The Queensway, Etobicoke, M8Z 1T5
Cost: $25 registration fee or fundraise minimum amount
This annual walk hosted by Haven on the Queensway is such a great way to get out and be active while helping your community. It’s a fun, family-friendly fundraiser that raises money for the needy across Canada. All you have to do is bundle up and go for a walk!
2. Theatre Etobicoke Presents Rumors

Where: The Assembly Hall Community Cultural Centre, 1 Colonel Samuel Smith Park Drive, Etobicoke, M8V 4B6
Cost: $23
Theatre Etobicoke presents this farcical comedy by Neil Simon. Get together with friends or take a date to enjoy the shenanigans of Ken and Chris Gorman and their fellow guests at a celebration hosted by the Deputy Major of New York. The show runs on various days this week and next.
3. Heritage Antique Market

If you love antiques and collectibles, the Heritage Antique Market is for you. This market is paying its monthly visit to Cloverdale Mall, and you just never know what you might find. There’s even a free appraisals clinic, so raid your basement for any long lost treasures and take them along.
4. Fantasy Fair at Woodbine Shopping Centre

Cost: From $5.75 (single ride)
This fair has been around for since 1985, but is as entertaining as ever. Aside from lots of fun rides, there is also a giant soft play area and face painting. Note that there are often discounts available if you buy tickets through sites like Groupon.
5. Amy McConnell Trio at Old Mill

Where: Old Mill, 21 Old Mill Rd, Etobicoke, M8X 1G5
If you’re looking to jazz up your Saturday evening you can head over to Old Mill. Singing star Amy McConnell will be accompanied by pianist Mark Kieswetter and bassist Ross MacIntyre for an evening of entertainment in the Home Smith Bar.
6. Montgomery’s Inn Neapolitan Connection Concert Series

Cost: $37.99
If classical music is more your thing, then you might want to check out the Neapolitan Connection Concert Series at Montgomery’s Inn. With several events happening in the coming months, this week will feature award-winning Canadian pianist Angela Park presenting works by Robert Schumann and Frank Liszt.
7. Painting at Islington Seniors’ Centre

Cost: $1 (membership required)
Whatever hobby you enjoy, there’s always something going on at Islington Seniors’ Centre. With a full list of programs running from Monday to Friday, there’s no shortage of opportunity to get together with friends and do something fun. Fridays see several activities happening, including painting. If art is your thing, bring along your supplies and get tips from a qualified teacher.
8. Pinkberry Dessert Bar

Cost: $20
Since the warmer weather has made an appearance, it’s the perfect time to start sampling some ice cream. You can register for this event with Eventbrite, then head on over to Sherway Gardens Mall and sample some Pinkberry delights to get yourself in the mood for spring!
9. Saturday Stories at Brentwood Library

Who doesn’t love listening to a good story? This weekly drop-in program is a great way for getting kids of all ages even more interested in books and reading. Plus you can stay at the library as long as you like, perfect if it happens to be a grey day.
10. Big Rock Brewery Tour

Cost: $10
Big Rock Brewery has been brewing since 1985, but many Etobicoke residents don’t know its there. If you’re a fan of craft brews and would like to see how they’re made, Big Rock offers tours (including a tasting session) for ten bucks! Don’t worry if you can’t make it out this weekend as the tours run daily from Wednesday to Saturday most weeks.
