1. Lakeshore Mardi Gras

Taking inspiration from New Orleans’ Mardi Gras, this event promises to be a fun day out for the whole family. Head on over to taste a variety of cuisines and listen to live music, including jazz, rock, blues, and country. There’ll also be a kid zone, games, a midway, and market stalls.
2. Royal Canadian Family Circus

Roll up! Roll up! The circus is back in town. The Royal Canadian Family Circus is doing the rounds once again, and will be making a stop over the long weekend at Woodbine Centre. This acrobatic show takes place under the big top and showcases the talents of circus families from across the globe.
3. Walk the Six West History on the Humber

Ever wanted to learn more about the history of Ontario? Here’s your chance to do just that, in a very unique and interesting way. During this tour, you’ll stroll along the paths of the Humber River and hear historical Ontario stories told by poets, painters, and politicians, among others.
4. Caterpillars, Moths, and Butterflies Walking Tour

If finding out about nature is more your thing, then you’ll love the walking tours that happen in High Park on the first and third Sundays of each month. This week, Don Scallen, a popular science teacher and writer will lead a walk while sharing his knowledge about caterpillars, moths, and butterflies. He’s known for his fun and interactive style so it’s a good one to bring the kids along to.
5. Civic Holiday Brunch at Old Mill

Long weekends are the perfect time to get together as a family. However, this also usually means lots of cooking and cleaning up. If you’d rather take a break this weekend, you might want to head over to Old Mill for their famous brunch. There’ll be plenty to choose from with appetizers, mains, and desserts inspired by cuisines all over the world.
6. Bingo at Franklin Horner Community Centre

Franklin Horner Community Centre offers a jam-packed and fun-filled program of events all week long. Friday night is bingo night, so grab a dabber and try your luck!
7. Painting for Tweens at Richview Library

If you’ve got an artistic tween to entertain, this painting workshop should do the trick. This drop-in class for ages ten and up will see them creating their own masterpieces while getting to hang out with like-minded kids.
8. Star Trek Bridge Crew Virtual Reality Gaming

Love Star Wars? Intrigued by the Virtual Reality (VR) craze? If the answer to either of those is yes, then this is definitely for you. Eweb360’s VR arcade offers an unforgettable experience in which VR transports you to a starship. You’ll be playing Star Trek: Bridge Crew, a VR game in which you and your team undertake a mission to explore unchartered territory. It’s a great idea for a birthday party or just a get together with family and friends.
9. Grandstand Social at Woodbine

If you like the idea of horse racing but also want to spend your weekends sipping drinks, eating delicious food, and listening to DJs, then you’re in luck. Woodbine Racetrack offers all of that and more at its Grandstand Social nights every Friday and Saturday night. Head on over for drink specials, good music, and a fun atmosphere.
10. Rogers Cup 407 Free Community Weekend Rogers Cup

The Rogers Cup kicks of this weekend, and the first two days are free! Aside from seeing some world class tennis, you can also take in the many festivities on offer. There’ll be face painting, music, contest, crafts, and more. It’s not far at all from Etobicoke and is sure to be a fun day out for the whole family!
