1. Lakeshore Santa Claus Parade

Where: Lakeshore Boulevard, Dwight Avenue to Longbranch Avenue

Santa Claus is coming to town! Families in Etobicoke will be getting the kids bundled up and lining Lakeshore Boulevard this Saturday. Not only will you get a glimpse of the main man himself, you’ll also get to enjoy all of the beautifully decorated vehicles and costumed parade participants. After the parade is over, you can head to Colonel Samuel Smith Park to skate with Santa! Just one of the fun things to do in Etobicoke this weekend

2. Mimico Village Holiday Artisan Market

Shop handmade crafts in time for Christmas at this artisan market. Hosted by Oak Learners, this event showcases local vendors and is the perfect spot to find something unique for the loved ones on your list.

3. Martin Luther Church Christmas Bazaar

Where: Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2379 Lake Shore Blvd W, Etobicoke, ON M8V 1B7

More Christmas shopping can be done at this year’s Martin Luther Church Christmas Bazaar, in support of Syrian refugees. Enjoy the German-style atmosphere, complete with European sausages, hot waffles, and spiced punch, as you shop local handmade crafts.

4. Mimico Tree Lighting Ceremony

Where: Amos Waites Park, 2441 Lake Shore Blvd W, Etobicoke, ON M8V 1C5

This weekend, trees will be lit all over Ontario and indeed all over the world as we mark the start of December. The Mimico-by-the-Lake tree lighting is a truly festive event, with hot chocolate, songs from the Mimico Children’s Choir, and a visit from Santa.

5. The Harmony Singers Present THAT’S CHRISTMAS

Cost: $20

If you love a good Christmas carol, then you’ll definitely like this concert. The Harmony Singers will be performing ‘That’s Christmas’ at Humber Valley United Church, conducted by Harvey Patterson. There’ll also be a reading from special guest Bob Rae and refreshments after the show.

6. An Intimate Evening with Chelsea Stewart

Cost: $20

Chelsea Stewart is a classically trained singer songwriter who dabbles in everything from jazz to reggae. She’s set to release a new album soon and will be performing some new tunes as well as some older favorites. Another one of the fun things to do in Etobicoke this weekend.

7. Route 69 Productions Presents Aeroforce

Cost: $15 – $20

Aerosmith fans, this one’s for you! Tribute band Aeroforce will be belting out classics at the Rockpile on Saturday. Get your best air guitar going and enjoy these guys along with special guests Everyday Hero and Demolition Rage.

8. Etobicoke Centennial Choir – Sacred Traditions 2017

Usher in the Christmas season with the Etobicoke Centennial Choir on Saturday as they perform their Sacred Traditions concert. It starts at 7:30pm but you can get there as early as 6pm to shop at the Christmas marketplace.

9. Annual Cookie Walk

10. Old Mill Invitation to Dance

If you’re into ballroom dancing, then you can do just that at Old Mill this Friday with their Invitation to Dance event. Dance the rumba, samba, cha-cha, waltz, and more to music by the Bob Carey Society Orchestra.
