Businesses in Etobicoke: Red Tree Hot Yoga & Pilates

There are so many fantastic businesses in Etobicoke to try. Find out where we’ve been this month!

The Red Tree Philosophy

Steps from the Mimico Go Station, Red Tree Hot Yoga & Pilates is a small (and sweat-inducing) sanctuary for anyone looking to improve their mind and body. The boutique studio has a wonderful mix of Hot Yoga and Hot Pilates classes led by an incredibly skilled and welcoming team of instructors. Their Hot Pilates class in particular has a cult following, known for its intensity (although it’s open to all levels) and results. This February, they are adding a much-anticipating new Hot Pilates with weights class, perfect for those looking for an additional challenge.

Our Experience

We started frequenting the studio in December, drawn in by a great Groupon deal for new customers, and we’ve been hooked ever since. When we arrived at the studio for the first time, we were immediately greeted by Sabina, Red Tree’s owner and instructor and were impressed by the way she took the time to learn our names and get us excited for the class. After a few minutes of easy paperwork, we were ready to go.Red Tree Hot Yoga & Pilates

The class itself (we tried the popular Inferno Pilates) was tough. I mean, sore for a few days tough. But despite the intensity, we were amazed at how fast the time passed, with good music, very clear instructions, and a quick tempo to the sets. Before we knew it, we were done, feeling proud of the work we put in, and knew we would be back!

Since that class, we’ve been consistently going once or twice a week, and have learned a few additional things about the studio. For one, they definitely have a loyal (and very fit) following. You will see the same faces (and amazing physiques) often. We find this motivating; it’s clear these classes really do work. Another thing we’ve come to know is that literally all of the instructors are fantastic. They change things up to their own style, but the impact is the same. Our only advice would be, if you’re really at the beginning of your workout journey, perhaps start with one of their one-hour yoga classes before your first Inferno Pilates class (because they are no joke!).

We’re happy to add Red Tree Hot Yoga to our growing list of great businesses in the area! If you haven’t already, dust off your yoga mat and go check it out!
