1. Winterlicious

Where: Various Etobicoke restaurants
Cost: $23 – $43
Explore Toronto’s food culture with delicious three-course prix fixe lunch and dinner menus at nearly 200 top restaurants. This year’s Winterlicious is also a perfect chance to taste what some of Etobicoke’s top restaurants, such as Old Mill, Pulcinella, and Vibo, have to offer as well. Do your taste buds a favor and don’t miss Winterlicious at your favorite restaurants.

2. Skating at Sam Smith Park

Where: Colonel Samuel Smith Park, 3145 Lake Shore Blvd W, Etobicoke, ON M8V 4B6
If you are into skating, then Colonel Samuel Smith Park is where you want to be this winter. Not only is there a network of paths, but the park is also home to the city’s first ice skating trail.
3. Farce of Nature at Etobicoke Theatre

When: February 21st, 22nd, and 23rd, and March 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
Where: The Assembly Hall Theatre, 1 Colonel Samuel Smith Park Drive, Toronto, Ontario M8V 3W8

If you are looking for a laugh-’til-your-sides-ache type of comedy, then you shouldn’t miss the Farce of Nature at Etobicoke Theatre. The Jones Hope Wooten comedy is all about the Wilburn family and their attempts to save their fishing lodge from gangsters, jealous husbands, and ruthless corporate executives. And if you are looking for more entertainment, you would be glad to know that LiTTle Theatre Etobicoke also has its fair share of extraordinary plays and will be performing Willy Wonka Jr. until January 19th.
4. Liverpool Sessions at Old Mill Toronto

Cost: $25
If you are a fan of the Beatles, then Old Mill Toronto is a place to be on January 26th. Join Jeff Scott and his ten-piece band, The Buddy Ray Vons, as they celebrate the Beatles, plus hits from the British invasion and classics from the ’60s. Come for the food, stay for the entertainment.
5. Pound & Pour at Great Lakes Brewery

Cost: $20
If you thought beer and fitness don’t go together, think again, because that’s exactly what you are going to get if you decide to go to the Pound & Pour event at Great Lakes Brewery. Pound is a full body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates movements. The best thing is that after a one-hour class, you’ll be able to enjoy some fresh Great Lakes Brewery brew.
6. Winter Sports at The Centennial Park Ski and Snowboard Centre

What good is the winter if you can’t enjoy some good old winter sports such as skiing and snowboarding? Interested in ski and snowboard lessons? Then head over to Centennial Park Ski and Snowboard Centre and start enjoying the magic of winter.
7. Anti Valentines Day Party at Big Rock Brewery

Cost: $15
Single on Valentines Day? Not a problem. Bring your friends and head over to Big Rock Brewery and enjoy some horror movies, teen rock, and more at the Anti Valentines Day Party. Your ticket includes a free beer, pizza, a brewery tour.
8. Ping Pong for Adults and Seniors at Brentwood Library

Where: Brentwood Library, 36 Brentwood Road North, Toronto, ON M8X 2B5
Not only is ping pong fun, but it’s also a great exercise that significantly improves your hand-eye coordination. And while Brentwood Library might not have the fanciest of tables, they certainly do have equipment that will enable you to have the time of your life. So if you are in for two hours of pure enjoyment, head over to the Brentwood Library Program Room. No registration is required.
9. The Coldest Night of the Year at the Church on the Queensway

Cost: Children 0-10: Free; Youth 11-17: Fundraise a minimum of $75 or pay a registration fee; Adult 18+: Fundraise a minimum of $150 or pay a registration fee
Do you have a generous heart? Of course you do. That’s why you’ll be glad to know that Haven on the Queensway, a nonprofit charitable organization, is hosting the Coldest Night of the Year. Head over to the Church on the Queensway, join people just like you, walk, and raise funds for 140 Canada-wide charity partners who serve and engage the homeless communities so well.
10. Teen Writers’ Group Open Mic Night at Brentwood Library

When: Tuesday, January 22nd; Tuesday, February 19th, 7pm – 8pm
Where: Brentwood Library, 36 Brentwood Road North, Toronto, ON M8X 2B5
Are you a teenager who likes to sing, rap, and do stand-up comedy? Then Teen Writers’ Group Open Mic Night is for you. Brentwood Teen Writer’s Group will share their work and you’ll have the opportunity to shine too. If you are too shy to go on stage, the good news is that you can bring as many friends as you want to cheer you up. If you want to perform, the only thing you need to do is to sign up starting at 6:45pm in the Teen Lounge.
